Fluster Cluck, A Four Player Shooter Featuring Chickens
I swear I’m not egging you on when I say you play as chickens (or “chikkins as they’re called in the game).
Fluster Cluck is a cartoon styled twin-stick shooter that is coming to the PS4.
Put All Your Eggs In One Basket (Or All Your Friends On One Couch)
Fluster Cluck is a game that is intended to bring gamers back to the roots. It doesn’t focus on single player story lines or online competitive play. In Fluster Cluck, you gather your group of friends, huddle around one screen, sit for hours like you’re laying eggs, and play.
In Fluster Cluck, players work their way up through the “Chikkin Koop” bureaucracy with the goal of becoming CEO. As a Chikkin, you head off to other worlds to find ingredients such as cows, camels, zombies and other coworkers to “chikkinize.” Once you’ve collected your ingredients, you bring them over to the “Chikkinizer” to collect points. The player with the most points at the end of the round wins.
The premise of Fluster Cluck is very simple. The universe now runs off technology pioneered by the Chikkin Koop Corporation and appetite for chikkin products is creating a great strain on chikkin resources. As a member of the Chikkin Koop, you must set out to “avert wars, resource protests, rolling brownouts, melting glaciers and bad reruns on TV” by collecting resources with the Chikkinizer.
In the release on the Playstation blog, Product Manager at LOOT Entertainment, Jason Sorenson, wrote;
Fluster Cluck takes advantage of the PS4′s unique features. When you’re down on points, and your best friend sitting next to you on the sofa is gloating about certain victory, there’s nothing quite so enjoyable as hearing the whoosh from your controller’s speaker as you launch a missile, followed by a BOOM from your friend’s speaker. And then you chikkinize the broken and smoldering UFO — complete with some more clucking awesome sound effects — and snatch victory from the jaws of defeat at the buzzer.
Fluster Cluck looks like it’s going to be a great four player party game for the PS4. Get ready to start rustling your friends clucking feathers on October 21st.
