We know we’re all waiting for Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, but now there’s a reason to turn on your Pokemon X & Y once again for this spooky month of October! If you go online with your 3DS and select “Mystery Gift” in Pokemon X & Y this month you can get a special Giant Pumpkaboo for the Halloween season! This oversized grass / ghost type Pokemon comes equipped with Halloween-themed moves including Trick-or-Treat and Scary Face, and will also be holding a Rocky Helmet which can cause damage to its attacker.
What’s more, if you evolve your Giant Pumpkaboo into a Giant Gourgeist via trading and repossess it, you are eligible to participate in the Pokemon Trick-or-Treat Friendly Competition, which is a a Single Battle competition for Ghost-type Pokémon only.
Don’t forget that starting this month (dates depend on whether you live in North America or Europe) you can also claim a special shiny Gengar by heading down to GameStop in the US or Game in the Europe. You can find the dates for this promotion here.
Find out all the details of this Giant Pumpkaboo promotion on the official Pokemon X & Y website.
