Never Alone delayed Launch Date to November 18th

by GH Staff

Although it wasn’t formally announced until later on, but Upper Ones Games and E-Line Media’s upcoming Never Alone has been officially delayed. The video game is about young Iñupiat girl and her arctic fox companion and are pressing on through the harsh tundra against a torrential blizzard as they brave through this chilly storm to save her people. When browsing through online websites about this unique platform game, some folks might have seen and noticed the sudden change of the launch date for all three platforms (PC, PlayStation 4, and XBox One) in recent articles or on the Never Alone website. To clarify and confirm this delay, the developer has tweeted the message.

When folks click on the link to their blog, they get this explanation.

“The team lobbied for this change because it gives them the additional time to make the absolute best game that they can, even though a two week delay keeps us from getting the game to you when we originally promised.

The pace of development over the past month has been nothing short of astounding and we won’t be satisfied delivering a good game… or even a really good game.  We want this game to be great. We want it to be a reflection of all the heart and passion that has been poured into the project by both the development team and the broader Alaska Native community.  And making things great sometimes takes a little more time than expected.”

Although the delay is unfortunate, the extra time spent on polishing the project is well-spent. After all, many folks are anticipating its arrival with arms-wide-open next month! For more information, please visit the official website.
