Ubisoft’s The Crew has had its release date pushed back to December. The game was due to be released on 11th November in North America and 14th November in Europe, but The Crew has now been given a worldwide release date of 2nd December. While this delay will undoubtedly be a disappointment to those eagerly awaiting the game, prospective players will at least be relieved that The Crew has not joined the burgeoning list of 2014 games that have been delayed to 2015.
One positive that will come out of The Crew’s delay is that there will now be a second closed beta for the game. The first closed beta got under way on 30th September, and the additional closed beta is scheduled for some time in November.
The Crew Creative Director Julian Gerighty had this to say: “Our philosophy remains to deliver the best game possible. We’re all committed to delivering a revolutionary experience in the driving genre and we can’t wait for The Crew to be in the hands of the players.”
The Crew will now release on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on 2nd December 2014.
