The developers for Forza Horizon 2 have recently confirmed that the Xbox 360 version of the title will not be receiving DLC content support.
On the official forums for Forza Horizon 2, community manager Brian Ekberg confirmed that the DLC, as well as the Forza Rewards benefits, for the title will be exclusive for Xbox One and will not see a release on Xbox 360:
“We are currently planning to release DLC only for the Xbox One version of Forza Horizon 2…Also, Forza Rewards benefits are only available in the Xbox One version of Forza Horizon 2. This means that Xbox 360 players will not receive Forza Rewards credits or cars.
“In addition, progress in the 360 version of Forza Horizon 2 does not count towards your Forza Rewards Tier Level score. Only progress in the Xbox One version of Forza Horizon 2 will count towards your overall Forza Score (and Tier Level) in Forza Rewards.”
This news is, of course, bad for owners of the Xbox 360 version of the title that were hoping to expand their game with DLC content. Yesterday the first DLC pack was released for the title, with more DLC sure to come.
Forza Horizon 2 is currently available for Xbox One and Xbox 360.
