NCsoft has scheduled an eight-hour AION 2 maintenance window that will end Advanced Access on October 4, 2026, ahead of the free-to-play PC MMORPG’s October 5 commercial launch, which follows the reveal of the AION 2 global launch server lineup across five regions. AION 2 is built in Unreal Engine 5, and Jagex’s newly announced fourth RuneScape MMO, working title RS4, is also built in Unreal Engine.
Maintenance Ends Advanced Access
The maintenance window starts October 4, 2026 at 22:00 PDT, or October 5, 2026 at 07:00 CEST, and lasts eight hours. During maintenance, game login is temporarily unavailable, and players will be disconnected once maintenance begins.
The main update detail for the maintenance is “Advanced Access period ends. Commercial launch begins.” NCsoft wrote that the schedule and details are subject to change and that any changes will be announced via the notice.
Final Hours for Twitch Drops
Players can earn Advanced Access and War for Atreia Series 1 in-game rewards by watching AION 2 Twitch streams before October 4 at 23:59 PDT, or October 5 at 08:59 CEST. Advanced Access Twitch Drop rewards are available on any channel streaming AION 2, while War for Atreia rewards require tuning in to one of 60 War for Atreia creators.
Advanced Access rewards run from September 30 at 06:00 PDT, or October 1 at 15:00 CEST. Watch time tiers start at 15 minutes for Cyber Glasses (Skin: Eyewear) (Bound) x1 and 30 minutes for Customization Voucher (Bound) x1. At 45 minutes players receive Odyle Energy (Bound) x2, at 1 hour Soul Codex (Bound) x3, and at 2 hours Enhancement Stone x5,000. Four hours grants Resurrection Spiritstone (Bound) x10, 6 hours grants Kina Bundle 500,000 (Bound) x1, and 8 hours grants White Headset (Helm) x1. War for Atreia Series 1 channel rewards run from October 2 at 12:00 PDT, or 21:00 CEST. Reward tiers by watch time begin at 30 minutes for Appearance Change Voucher (Bound) x1. One hour grants Soul Codex (Bound) x10, 2 hours grants Resurrection Spiritstone (Bound) x10, and 4 hours grants Mysterious Pet Chest (Bound) x10.
Warning on Illicit Currency
NCsoft posted a warning that it is monitoring illicit purchases from third-party sources. Buying Kinah or Quna from unauthorized parties is against the Terms of Service and can result in consequences up to and including termination of access to the game. NCsoft wrote it reserves the right to disclose information about disciplinary actions taken in response to violations, and called the warning the “first and only warning.”
