Over the past year. Microsoft has been fairly consistent about adding new features and improving existing ones on their Xbox One console through the utilization of frequent system updates.
Xbox head Phil Spencer states that he and the company desire to continue that particularly well-received trend indefinitely.
In an October 8th interview with XboxMAD.net and the Inner Circle Podcast, Phil Spencer stated that the Xbox One console will be adding support for custom themes and backgrounds, alongside the long-awaited, gamer-requested ability to take screenshots sometime in the near future.
Read more details on what Phil Spencer had to say about future updates (and their content) to the Xbox One after the break.
Xbox One Screenshot, Custom Theme/Background Support
In the Inner Circle Podcast’s aforementioned interview with Phil Spencer, the Xbox leader had the following to say on upcoming updates to the Xbox One console, as well as his take on screenshot, custom theme/background support for the gaming system:
“Themes and background pics are something we are working on, and screenshots; I know people beat me up on screenshots…I know people like to customize the look of the dash…we are going to deliver on them.”
Unfortunately, Spencer did not say when the Xbox One will be receiving said support. However, his words are sure to quell the impatience and frustration of Xbox One owners around the world.
