The Flame in the Flood is a brand new upcoming game being created by a veteran team of developers, including former developers of Bioshock, Halo and Rock Band. The game is described as a rogue lite river journey through the backwaters of a forgotten post-societal America. The game is currently holding a Kickstarter, as of this writing, $81.941 has been raised towards the $150,000 goal. You can check the Kickstarter page here.

Travel by foot and by raft down a procedurally-generated river as you scrounge for resources, craft tools, remedy afflictions, evade the vicious wildlife, and most importantly, stay ahead of the coming rains.
Featuring an original full length soundtrack by acclaimed Alt-Country rocker Chuck Ragan featuring The Camaraderie, The Fearless Kin and other special guests.’
The Flame in the Flood will have you scrounging for food and supplies. You will also be doing plenty of looting and crafting. The game features permadeath, and a procedurally-generated river you must traverse down. Your character will also need to stay warm and healthy to survive, this includes watching out for dangerous animals and diseases.
