The technological world has made significant advancement in the mobile telephone industry. The mobile industry is competing to stand out by providing mobile phones that meet more than the eye. Functionality has been the recent objective when it comes to release of mobile phones. Bettering their functionality is leading to the release of better phones in the market. Going head to head on this article review is the Gionee Elife s5.5 against the Samsung Galaxy Note 3.

Both these phones are touchscreen with a capacitive touchscreen type. In addition, they share a resolution power of 1080 X 1920 pixels. They both come with a 13-megapixel rear camera and a flash. However, their front cameras differ where the Gionee has 5-megapixel whereas the Samsung Note 3 only has 2-megapixel.

The phone’s hardware is rather competitive and different. The Gionee Elife has a 1.7Hz octa-core processor against the Samsung’s 1.9Hz octa-core. The Gionee has a 2GB RAM with an internal memory storage of 16GB. On the other hand, the Samsung Note 3 has a 3GB RAM and internal memory storage of double that of the Gionee (32GB) which you can also expand to 64GB.

The Gionee Elife has a smaller screen size of 5inches as compared to the Samsung’s 5.7 inches. It is also lighter in weight with 133g against Sansung’s 168g weight. The Samsung also over powers the Gionee when referring to their battery capacity. The Samsung that comes with a removable battery holds 3200mAh of power whereas the Gionee holds 2300mAh.

Though they both run on an android operating system, the android versions differ. Gionee operates on android 4.2 whereas the Samsung note operates on the android 4.3 operating systems. Both hold one sim card that is micro.

The Samsung Note 3 is more costly as compared to the Gionee by almost double. With the option to pick between these two, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 would be a better option. Not only does it have a better processor, but also has more than enough internal memory. In addition, it can store more power. The only aspect that would give it a low score is the camera resolution capability.
