LittleBigPlanet 3 has had its initial release date pushed back in Europe, according to a post made on the PlayStation Forum by Steven Isbell, community manager of LittleBigPlanet 3.

Originally set for launch on November 19th, 2014, the new release date for LittleBigPlanet 3 is November 26th. Furthermore, Steven Isbell confirmed that the changes made to the release date in Europe “doesn’t affect the release date in [North] America.”

“We’re currently working our socks off with Sackboy and friends to get the game to you as soon as possible but it’s recently come to our attention that we’re going to have to move the release of LittleBigPlanet 3 in Europe by one week to give Sackboy the best opportunity to shine,” Steven Isbell explained.

“This was a very difficult decision to make but since LittleBigPlanet is such a globally appealing game, it seemed only right to give more people the chance to get to know Sackboy and his new friends.

“Sorry for any bubbles that may have just been burst but we thought it best to give you the heads-up now and to assure you that we’re still working to bring you all LittleBigPlanet 3 in Europe by 26th November.”

Revealed earlier this year during Sony’s E3 press conference, LittleBigPlanet 3 is the first main title in the franchise not being developed under first-party studio Media Molecule, with Sumo Digital now taking the helm of the fan-favourite platformer.

Staring LittleBigPlanet veteran Stephen Fry and the recently confirmed Hugh Laurie (A Bit of Fry & Laurie and Blackadder), Sackboy’s adventure continues in LittleBigPlanet 3 when it’s launched this November exclusively on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
