Today, we’re comparing Sony Xperia T2 & T3 with the Galaxy S5 Sport of Samsung and let’s see whether the phones from Sony can beat Samsung’s handset.
The pixel density and screen size of Xperia T2 & T3 are what makes them different T2 has a 6-inch screen which has a 245-ppi pixel density. T3, on the other hand, has a 5.3-inch display screen with 277-ppi pixel density. Both handsets have a Triluminos IPS LCD supporting a 720×1280 pixel resolution. Galaxy S5 Sport is using a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED screen, on the other hand, and is using a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 technology. It has a pixel density, which is higher than the Sony handsets – 1080×1920 pixels. Its dimensions are 144x74x8.9mm and its weight is 158grams. The dimensions of Xperia T2, on the other hand, are 165.2×83.8×7.7mm while T3’s are 150.7x77x7mm. T2’s weight can be either 172.4 grams or 171.7 grams while T3’s is 148 grams.
The two Sony handsets are using 1.4GHz Cortex A7 quad-core processors combined with a chipset that is Qualcomm MSM8929 Snapdragon 400 and their graphics are Adreno 305-powered. However, the 4G and LTE 3G versions of T3 are using a different chipset – Qualcomm MSM8928 2 Snapgragon 400. S5 Sport is powered by quad-core 2.5GHz Krait 3400 processor and its chipset is Qualcomm Snapdragon 801.
Both Sony handsets have an internal memory capacity of 8GB, which can be expanded to up to 32 GB and a 1GB RAM. Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport has a 16GB internal storage capacity, which can be expandable to 128 GB and a 2GB RAM.
Both Sony Xperia T3 and S5 Sport are using Android KitKat v4.4.2 while T2 is powered by Android Jelly Bean v4.3 which can be upgraded to Android KitKat v4.4.2.
When it comes to the camera of these handsets, S5 Sport takes home the bacon with its 16MP main camera a 2MP front camera. T2 comes second with its 13MP main camera and T3 comes last with its 8MP main camera. Both of the handsets from Sony have secondary cameras that are shooting using 1.1MP.
Xperia T2 & T3 are also using non-removable batteries. T2 uses a 300mAh battery while T3 has a battery capacity of 2500 mAh. S5 Sport is using a replaceable 2800mAh Li-Ion battery which is removable.
Talking about the price of these handsets, T2 Ultra is worth 381 dollars while the other Sony handset, Xperia T3, has a 400-dollar price tag. S5 Sport, on the other hand, costs around 100 to 650 dollars, which depends on the contract it comes with.
