NBA Live 15 Soundtrack Revealed

by GH Staff

It’s no secret that hip-hop has influenced the NBA and vice versa. Today EA Sports and EA Tiburon have released 25 soundtracks selected by DJ MICK for NBA Live 15. The soundtrack for NBA Live 15 is highlighted with stars from hip-hop and R&B which include artists such as Jeezy, Jeremih, G-Eazy and FlatBrush Zombies.

DJ MICK explains his choice for music in an interview with BillBoard  “As a music curator for NBA Live 15, I really tried to identify a unified sound and tone of the game”. MICK then went on to add “In order to make a notable playlist, it’s all about the selection and vibe. It’s about finding the songs from your favorite artist that people may have missed. There are lots of ways to go about it. I try to combine all of the above into one cohesive feel and sound.”

Cover star Damien Lillard of the Portland Trail Blazers also shared a few words on the soundtrack selection with BillBoard. “I really like old-school hip-hop.” Lillard then added “Most of the time when I hear really new stuff, it’s because somebody else put me on to it. I don’t really go searching for a lot of new stuff, buts it’s a lot of up-and-coming artists that are on this soundtrack, so it’ll be good to put on some new artists, instead of being so tapped into the old-school like I am.”
