Today Bandai Namco Europe has released the Grid Autosport Drag Racing DLC pack which has now brought drag racing to the world of Grid Autosport. The Grid Autosport Drag Racing DLC pack brings three new tracks, cars, single player tournaments and online drag racing all for the cost of €4.99/£3.99/$4.99.
You’ll be able to drag race at three custom drag racing tracks at Hockenheimring, the Autosport Raceway and in Detroit. With each track featuring an over mile long track. Car wise you’ll get the classic Hotrod as well as two “Funny Cars”, all of which will be easily able to go over 300 m.p.h, although if you’d rather you can also use the most of the games cars including the Super and Hypercars.
Before every race you’ll be able to tune your chosen car so for example you’ll be able to tune your gear ratios for better high-speed or acceleration. The races themselves demand fast reactions for both the best start and to know when to time your gear changes for the best acceleration.
However the drag races aren’t just a straight sprint to the finish line because you’ll also have to control your cars torque steering, which will require you to counter steer in order to the counterbalance it because if you drift into the other cars lane you’ll be disqualified.
