Adobe Flash 13 Free Download – Changes and Improvements

by GH Staff

Adobe has recently released the newest version for its popular flash player, Adobe Flash. The new version, Adobe Flash 13, provides some significant upgrades and stability improvements that are worth considering. As always, Adobe Flash 13 is free to download and use, and you should really consider updating your old version.

First things first! Adobe Flash 13 solves many security and stability issues with HTTP streaming. The previous version had problems jumping from audio only formats to AV (audio-video) formats. This has been rectified in Adobe Flash 13, and overall, streaming is a much better experience for it.

Moving on, a lot of security concerns have also been addressed, especially in regard to viewing videos online through portals such as Youtube or 9gag TV. There were some exploits to Flash 12’s security, and Adobe Flash 13 does a great job of patching up the proverbial leaks. The flash player is a lot more stable now, and extended browser compatibility fixes have been implemented to ensure that it runs well on even the most unusual of browsers.

Adobe Flash 13’s free download also comes with some nifty new features, not just tweaks and fixes. The alignment interface and the TextField boxes were reworked from scratch, ensuring that no issues arise anymore with their positing and overlay, something Adobe Flash 12 had problems with in the past. These issues were mostly evident when viewing videos in full-screen. Adobe Flash 13 should take care of these problems, and notifications have been tweaked to fit better on all monitor sizes and screen resolutions. The main features of Adobe Flash 13’s free beta are in the background though, and regard security. If anything, Adobe Flash 13’s free to download update improves the security features of the player like no version before, at least according to Adobe, and from extensive testing, we’ve found no problems with it. It runs smoothly and should provide developers with a competent and safe platform for developing new applications.

Adobe Flash 13 is available as a free download on Adobe’s official website, and we recommend that you update as soon as you get a chance. On the principle of better safe than sorry, you have nothing to worry about or to lose, and the upgrade won’t cost you a dime.
