Halo: Spartan Strike Announced!

by GH Staff

Today, along with showing off Halo 2 at 1080p and 60 fps, which you can read more about here,  IGN helped 343 announced a new Halo game.

Halo: Spartan Strike will be released December 12th for Windows Devices(Windows 8 Computers, Windows Tablets, Windows Phones) and on Steam for $5.99. Buying it on one Windows device, such as a Windows Phone, also grants you access to the game on Windows 8 computers and tablets. Though it’s not quite a sequel to Halo: Spartan Assault, it’s still the same type of game. It takes place around the same timeline of Halo 2, and later progresses throughout the story. You can see the full IGN announcement and accompanying video here.

Spartan Strike has had vast improvements over Spartan Assault. From updated controls to bigger playable areas and a longer singleplayer. The game will also feature achievements when bought on Windows Platforms, and Steam Achievements when purchased on Steam. There will also be rewards for The Master Chief Collection, weekly challenges, and leader boards.

And, some of the best news is that micro-transactions have been removed from the game!

There are currently no plans on Spartan Strike coming to Xbox 360 or Xbox One, or IOS / Android platforms.
