A fan-made petition has been created calling for ‘The Marcus Fenix Collection’ to be released on Xbox One.

Earlier this week, Phil Spencer, head of Xbox, retweeted a message from a Twitter user asking for the “#TheMarcusFenixCollection Gears of War 1-3 Xbox One,” which fuelled speculation that a collection is currently in the works by Microsoft.

Although Spencer later dismissed the notion of a Gears of War collection for Xbox One, Bella Ryse, a user on Change.org, started a petition that has already amassed more than 100 signatures.

“The Marcus Fenix Collection for the Xbox One is a digital collection of Gears of War 1, 2 & 3,” Ryse explained in the petition’s description. “Gears of War is one of the greatest franchises in the history of Xbox, which has a massive and loyal following since the release of Gears of War in 2006.”

Additionally, the petition has a section called “What do we want to see?,” which consists of features necessary to the Gears of War collection, including Gears of War 1, 2 and 3 running at 1080p and 60fps, all multiplayer maps and modes, dedicated servers and beta access to the upcoming Gears of War title being developed by Black Tusk Studios.

“As the 10 year anniversary for Gears of War is coming up in 2016, this would be the perfect time to release this collection, so let’s get behind this and show Microsoft just how far we are willing to go to make this a reality,” Ryse added.

Black Tusk Studios are currently at the helm of the next instalment in the Gears of War franchise (rumoured for release on both Xbox 360 and Xbox One), with Gears of War’s veteran producer Rod Fergusson overseeing development on the project.
