Halo: The Master Chief Collection, shipping with Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 2 Anniversary, Halo 3 and Halo 4, has been on the most heavily anticipated releases of 2014 and is one of the flagship titles for the Xbox One. With just under a month until release, 343 industries has announced that Remaking the Legend, a documentary about Halo 2‘s production and release, will also be shipping with the game. Check out the trailer below:
Alongside some flashy effects, the documentary chronicles the teams development process for both the original and its 10-year later anniversary remake, as well as thoughts and stories from its original release in 2004. Shownin the video are some video clips of news reels from the time when the second installment in the series was released. Halo 2 is, in many people’s eyes, the best of the series, and it was certaintly the launch point for Microsoft’s Xbox Live, and was seenlargely as the flagship for the original Xbox console.
So now, Halo: The Master Chief Collection is slated to launch with all 4 games that feature the Chief, the new Halo movie, Halo: Nightfall, the Halo 5 beta and this new documentary.
What do you all think about this new documentary? Personally, I think it’s an almost unnecessary but highly appreciated attempt to sweeten an already ridiculous deal.
