The new Legend of Korra video game releases today for PC and Consoles, and to celebrate, the folks over at Activision have released a pretty stunning new launch trailer.
The trailer (below) shows off the game’s custom cutscene animations, which are similar to the show but not exactly the same, as well as a glimpse at both gameplay and story elements.
Developed by Platinum Games, The Legend of Korra is a 3rd Person Action-Adventure in which you can control the Avatar and her ability to bend the four elements to defeat evil. While the game shares noticeable similarities to other entries in Platinum Games’ portfolio, such as Bayonetta 2 which got great reviews, the game is also incredibly unique.
The Legend of Korra video game takes place between Books (Seasons) Two and Three of Nickelodeon’s TV program, and tells a generally self-contained story. Those familiar with the franchise will of course recognize certain settings, characters, and terminology, but ultimately, those who have never seen the show before should be fine diving straight in.
What do you guys think of the new Avatar game? Are you excited, or do you think it’ll be another flop?
