BlizzCon, Blizzard Entertainment’s two-day gaming convention centring on the World of Warcraft, StarCraft and Diablo franchises, will have Grammy-winning heavy metal band Metallica playing live this year at the Anaheim Convention Center.

According to the press release issued by Blizzard, Metallica will be performing live in front of a sold-out convention on the final day of the event, but users still have the opportunity to purchase a BlizzCon Virtual Ticket, which streams the entire convention in HD from November 7th to November 8th, for £24.99/€29.99 on the BlizzCon website.

“We’re thrilled to have Metallica blowing out our speakers at BlizzCon this year,” says Mike Morhaime, CEO and co-founder of Blizzard Entertainment. “After two full days of epic gaming and intense eSports action, an earth-shaking concert is the perfect send-off for everyone at the show and watching from home.”

BlizzCon is known for featuring some of the most iconic music bands and artists to close the event each year, including Tenacious D, Foo Fighters, The Offspring, Ozzy Osbourne and last year’s performers Blink-182.

Each year Blizzard fans from all over the world travel to BlizzCon to participate in contests, tournaments, watch live Q&A sessions with developers and gain a hands-on session with some of the latest titles from the company.

Currently consisting of James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo, the 4-piece metal band have produced 9 critically acclaimed studio albums and sold more than 110 million records worldwide.
