Oh, Keanu Reeves, the “actor” we know is anything but, yet can’t get enough of. Even Payday 2’s getting a little taste of the Reeves Rigatoni with a new, free, promotional DLC.
You read that correctly. In conjunction with the release of Keanu Reeves’ new film John Wick and with a little push from Lionsgate, Payday 2 will offer John Wick as a free downloadable character in-game. On top of this, Steam users who purchase tickets to John Wick through the website Fandango will receive a free download code for Payday 2. The DLC will also come with the “Hitman” perk, which allows the player to dual wield, along with a new pistol, knife, and 3 new variants of sunglasses.
Personally, I have to give my respects for Lionsgate. They not only prevented a piece of potential Shovelware from entering store shelves, they also brought into Payday 2 a character with less emotion, expression, or skin tone than the masks the other characters wear.
