Sony Gives Update on PlayStation 4 Suspend/ Resume Feature

by GH Staff

Sony has given an update on the suspend and resume feature that the PlayStation 4 is to eventually gain.

Announced last February when the PlayStation 4 was first revealed, the suspend and resume feature is one that will not be featured in the next 2.0 software update hitting PS4s soon. While speaking to Videogamer in an interview, SCEE’s VP of product planning Murray Hume gave an update on the feature:

“There’s nothing to announce today, we haven’t stopped working on it.”

The feature, when first revealed, is said to allow gamers to leave their consoles on a low power mode while playing a game and resume their progress right where they left off when they turn their system fully back on.

While this feature will not be part of the 2.0 software update releasing tomorrow, this update does confirm that it is still in development and will eventually see a release.
