New footage from NetherRealm Studios’ upcoming fighting title Mortal Kombat X has emerged online.

A Reddit user, grassisalwayspurpler, uploaded a 9-minute gameplay video of Mortal Kombat X from this year’s Paris Games Week, with it showcasing some of the title’s confirmed characters in a head-to-head battle with one another.

The video opens with the Lin Kuei ice warrior Sub-Zero taking on the sorcerer Quan Chi, the most recent character revealed in the roster, and it follows on with the latter in action with one of the newest characters introduced to the franchise, Kotal Kahn. Additionally, some of the character variations, allowing players to modify their play style by selecting one of three different variants before entering a fight, are shown off again, new combo and special moves, blocking mechanics and Sub-Zero’s fatality.

Running at 1080p and 60fps, Mortal Kombat X will launch on April 14th, 2015 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
