Happyland Viewership Falls 19% of Ratings for Its Third Episode

MTV’s latest amusement park-centered comedy show, Happyland, is unfortunately not starting an admirable trend. Its viewership already declined even if out of the eight episodes that were planned, only three have been aired. The ratings were better for the last two weeks. The Happyland premiere attracted 423,000 viewers. Its second episode ‘Prince of Admission’ caused an increase in the show’s rating. It successfully beats its pilot episode, having 434,000 audiences to watch. But this week’s number of viewers seems not good. Happyland’s third episode called ‘Never Break Character’ brought 350,000 people only, which is a 19% rejection from its previous viewership. To worsen the situation, the viewership and ratings of one of the features of the show Happyland, featuring the romantic-comedy series titled and featured as Faking It, also falls. The 10:30PM ET show, which had 729,000 viewers last week for its third episode, has its number to fall to 645,000 for this week. Hopefully, things will be better for both shows for the succeeding episodes.

The lead character of the show is Lucy Velez, a teenage daughter of an employee named Elena Velez, who works as a fairy tale princess in the theme park. She also happens to be the secret child of James Chandler, the theme park’s new owner. At the beginning of the current series, the character of Lucy gets her attention and interest to Ian Chandler, James’ son, without knowledge that the two of them are siblings.

The others stars in the show are Camiile Guaty (as Elena Velez), Shane Harper (as Ian Chandler), Ryan Rottman (as Theodore “Theo” Chandler), Katherine McNamara (as Harper), and Cameron Moulene (as Will). Happyland is created by Ben Epstein.

The fourth episode is titled and featured as Park Maintenance. This seems to be more exciting as another drama is to be shown. According to the official description of the episode which employees are the only ones involved, Lucy found Harper and Ian together, which gives her an emotional turbulence. Knowing that Harper is Lucy’s closest friend. This will be an exciting episode as some awkward moments between the two ladies because of Ian starts to build up.
