Japanese model-turned-actress Tao Okamoto, the one who portrayed the role of Mariko Yashida with Hugh Jackman in the movie ‘The Wolverine’, takes the important role of Lady Murasaki for the third season of the NBC’s ‘Hannibal’.
As per Deadline, Okamoto will play the mysterious role of Lady Murasaki, who possesses a stunning and classic beauty who keeps undeniable dark agenda. The same woman who is not different from the one you have read on the Thomas Harris’ Hannibal Rising , or if you have ever seen the film that was produced in 2007 based on the book. Lady Murasaki is said to be one of the major guest-star in the brand new season of this much awaited TV series “Hannibal”.
This drama is based from Thomas Harris’ Hannibal novels. On its third version featuring the fictional character of Hannibal Lecter, the character of Murasaki is introduced as Lecter’s aunt, who is the one who took care of him in his teenage years after he was released from an orphanage.
We may be seeing a remix of the character of Lady Murasaki for the show, as showrunner Bryan Fuller loves shifting things around in the series. As the programme creator, he is also known to be an innovator, as he loves to put some twists to surprise its telecast. And it is not impossible that Bryan Fuller is going to do it on the Hannibal series to make it more wonderful.
Okamato is popular because of her outstanding acting skills when she played a role in the film ‘The Wolverine’. She will also be seen as one of the stars in the upcoming ‘Batman Vs. Superman Dawn of Justice’. This also gives so much excitement to her fans that would like to see her again in one of the upcoming films in the country.
Season three will start and fascinate its audiences with Lecter on the run with the characters of Bedelia (Gillian Anderson), following the bloody episodes in season two’s finale.
