It was being reported that ‘Vampire Diaries’ stars Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder still show a lot of tension on the Vampire Siaries’ set and it may be one of the possible reasons that it will make the series ended right after this season was aired.
The things happening between the two, and how the co-stars of the CW series treat each other has now been taking its edge, aside from CelebDirtyLaundry and LawyerHerald. The former romantic partners who also play the lead characters in the series, as Damon and Elena, have been reported that how they treat each other on the set was really awkward. The positive aspects of the TV show were not the same as it was before it was first aired. It has been said and reported as well that the awkward relationship between the two stars has become more and more obvious even they are off screen. This caused the show to become more ineffective to its audiences as the quality of the ‘Vampire Diaries’ show was totally affected. The new love interest of Somerhalder has also been reported to become more obviously present on the set which adds up to the awkward ambiance every time they film the series. Somerhalder and his new love interest have been reported to be together for how many months now.
The whole staff of the show, including writers and production crew did their best to give the couple less screen roles together just to continue the show and make it lighter as possible but it does not seems to be effective. Off screen, Somerhalder and Dobrev were really distant to each other, which on the script featured a very different scenario, because it will require the two to be together most of the time. The writers tried to set up an episode wherein the stars forget each other. As if these changes will work, well, obviously, these changes would not maintain the intact and effectivity of the show if ever.
It is uncontrollable that what happened between the two would make the other one just leave the show as they still need to do their roles in a professional manner while on screen. With Nina’s contract on the series, it might be up after this season, but with Ian, no information was given. ‘Vampire Diaries’ is not the same as it was before, well if CW will get rid of whoever between the two stars, it will surely fail on its ratings. Just hoping that if ever CW would end up the season, they will end it with a bang!
