Next-gen truly does look amazing! In order to get the hype up before the release of their next-gen UFC fighter, EA Games have announced a new YouTube video gameplay series. Giving unique in-depth look at the development process of the game, the series will show exclusive in-game footage and reveal more about the gameplay mechanics of the upcoming title.
The trailer of the series, released earlier today, revolves around the graphical fidelity of the game and goes to show just how important high-definition textures are. The fighters are no-longer static, as their emotions and intensity are captured and translated into the game. The scans of the world-class athletes were focused not only on their look and appearance, but their signature moves, emotions and more.
As the game won’t feature a mini-game in relation to damage management, players should not expect any doctor stoppages. The realism of the next-gen UFC fighter will be improved by superficial tissue damage and players will be able to see the fighters bleeding, having bruises, swelling and cuts. However, in order to achieve better ESRB rating, the developers of the game decided not to feature any heavier, more gruesome type of injury.
The next-gen installment in the EA Sports UFC series will be released in late Spring, 2014 for both the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4.
