The newest trend to be popularized in the market is the phablet. It consists of a large display that borders on being a cross between a smartphone and a tablet. Like the Galaxy Note 3 and the Note 4, they are the most sought after, and well-received devices on the market. Design
Both devices are similar to each other, but they do have their differences. They come with the standard front panel from Samsung with the home bottom and the two soft keys. The Grand 2 provides a faux leather back much like the Note 3, while the Mega 6.3 has a plastic cover that is standard for most Samsung devices.
Display
On the Mega 6.3 it comes with the Super AMOLED 6.3 inch screen, which is the largest in the Samsung line. While a 5.2 inch screen is found on the Galaxy Grand 2. Both have the same resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels; however the Galaxy Grand 2 has a higher pixel density and better quality.
Hardware
According to GSM Arena, the Galaxy Grand 2 comes with a quad-core processor that clocks at 1.2GHz and RAM capacity of 1.5GB. The Mega 6.3 has the same RAM, however has a dual core Krait CPU with speeds of 1.7 GHz. They both have 8GB internal versions, but the Mega 6.3 has a bigger version of 16GB. They both can be expanded with a microSD card for up to 64GB. They also have the same camera specs with a back 8MP shooter and a front 1.9 Cara. They have similar features that include LED flash and HD recording capabilities of 1080p.
Battery
The Mega 6.3 being the bigger devices as a battery capacity of 3200mAh. While a 2600mAh battery is found on the Galaxy Grand 2.
