Some Of The iPhone Models Compared

This year in September, Apple launched two new versions of the iPhone, the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus. These phones feature increased capacity and advanced features than the prior models, the iPhone 5S and the iPhone 5C. This article will take a look at some of the features that these four models have to offer to users.

 
The iPhone 5C features a plastic body while the other three models feature an all-aluminum body. The 6 and the 6 plus models feature edges which are slightly more rounded than the 5S.
The 5C is bigger and heavier than the 5S, weighing in at 132 grams and measuring 124.4 by 59.2 by 9 mm. The 5S weighs 112 grams and has dimensions of 123.8 by 58.6 by 7.6 mm. The newer models are much larger. The iPhone 6 measures 138.1 by 67 by 6.9 mm, while the plus model is a phablet design and measures 158.1 by 77.8 by 7.1 mm. The iPhone 6 weighs 129 grams while the plus model weighs 172 grams.
The 5S and 5C have the same screen specifications, featuring a 4 inch, 326 ppi, 1136 by 640 pixel display. The iPhone 6 features a 4.7 inch display with a 1334 by 750 pixel display. The iPhone 6 plus features an impressive 1920 by 1080 display with a density of 401 ppi. All displays are IPS LCD style with backlit LED.

 
Other than the 5C, all other models feature a fingerprint ID sensor. While the 5S is not supported, the newer models support Apple Pay and NFC features. All the four models are also compatible with Apple’s iWatch.
All of the four models feature an 8 MP camera. Of these, all use a dual LED flash excep for the 5C, which uses only a single flash. The 6 and the 6 plus models also feature better stabilization and can record higher quality videos a 1080 fps. These models also allow for slow motion and time lapse videos, better than the 5S and which are not available on the 5C.

 
The 5S and 5C feature capacities of 1510 mAh in terms of battery. The iPhone 6 has a bigger battery capacity of 1810 mAh while the phablet boasts of a 2915 mAh battery.

 
Both the 5S and he 5C feature a dual core processor which clocks in at 1.3 GHz. The 5S has an Apple A7 chip while the 5C features an Apple A6. The 5S also has a support M7 processor. The new models feature an Apple A8 processor and are compatible with iOS 8 and supporting M8 processors. These feature dual core processors of the Cyclone family. The RAM capacity for all the four phones is 1 gigabyte. Storage capacities for the 5C and the 5S are 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB, while those for the 2014 models are 16 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB.
The power button in the newer 2014 models is located on upper right side as opposed to the top edge featured earlier.
