In the smartphone race, Micromax still has a way to go.

While they do develop devices that are quality, They aren’t able to cope against larger companies such as Nokia. Nokia has stuck to their standard quality and design. While they have been fairing well, the Micromax could prove to be a challenge.

Design

The Micromax Canvas 3D provides an uncomfortable large device, in which is difficult to operate. Not the best, however, many would choose to like it since big phones are in. It is one of the thickest phones on the market at 11 mm. It weighs 168 grams, making it also one of the heaviest. It provides a back matte finish and a premium look with a chrome logo.

The Lumia 625 features different colors fo their casings that are a plus. You are able to change the back polycarbonate cover if you want a new style. The casing is firmly attached to the back cover, so it provides a sturdy device with an SIM and microSD card slot. The battery however is not removable, although the back is. It is lighter at 160 grams, and slimmer at only 9.2 mm.

Display

The nice display on the Lumia 625 provides an open space for their 4.7 inch display that is good for all weather. It provides crisps and clear images with great angle views. However has only 800 x 480 resolution. The screen has a high precision, and fluidity that compares to other devices on the market. The Canvas, on the other hand, provides the same resolution, but on a 5 inch display. It has okay angle views and clarity, but with a low ppi don’t produce the same quality images.

Hardware and OS

The Canvas 3D underperformance with a MediaTek MT6577 system on chip, which has a RAM capacity of 512 and clocks at 1 GHz. They provide an experience that is average thanks to its average specs. The Lumia 625, on the other hand, is sufficient with their Qualcomm Snapdragon and Krait dual core processor with the same RAM, but speeds of 1.2GHz. With slightly better specs offers better user experience. For this comparison, the Lumia 625 wins this war.
