XCOM: Enemy Within is now on mobile for $12.99
Suit up for another war with the aliens commander because the full version of XCOM: Enemy Within is now on mobile for the price of $12.99. The game is compatible with the iPad 3, iPad mini 2, iPad 5 and up as well as the Android devices through Google Play and Game Centre.
For players who haven’t played XCOM: Enemy Within before, this expansion adds new story missions including the dreaded Newfoundland, more weapons and armour along with the ability to genetically modify their soldiers or turn them into cyber-suit wearing cyborgs. Remember we’re the good guys.
The genetic modifications and cybernetics are only possible thanks to a new material called meld which you can only find in timed containers during missions, meaning you’ll need to risk putting your soldiers in possibly threatening situations. XCOM: Enemy Within also comes with new multiplayer maps and units although multiplayer won’t be available to Amazon devices.
When talking about XCOM: Enemy Within’s launch on mobile the President of 2K Christopher Hartmann said that “Providing consumers with a true triple-A game experience via a mobile or portable device is not an easy feat, but the launch of XCOM: Enemy Unknown for Mobile has shown it is possible” and that “Now, with the launch of XCOM: Enemy Within, 2K is able to showcase our ongoing commitment to providing high-quality, core gaming experiences for our fans on whatever platform they play on.”
XCOM: Enemy Within is now on mobile for $12.99 and is available on iOS as well as Android devices.
