Both Nokia X2 and Micromax Canvas A1 are budget smart phones and you can buy any one of them without making a big hole to your pocket. Both the companies released them targeting the similar category and it is ideal to compare these two phones even from the technical specifications and budget point of view also. Let’s compare these two as both of them were released in second half of 2014 only.
Design: Nokia X2 comes in 121.7 x 68.3 x 11.1mm dimensions and weighs close to150g whereas Micromax A1 comes in 132.00 x 90.00 x 67.00 dimensions and weighs 136g. Nokia A2 is available in 5 colors where as A2 is available in two colors only.
Display: Nokia X2 is fitted with 4.3 inch IPS LCD screen which has a resolution of 800*480 (217 ppi) and the Micromax A1 is equipped with slightly bigger screen i.e. 4.5 inch with 854*480 (218 ppi). Both these phones lag very much when compared to premium smart phones which are available in 2K display resolution and 500+ppi.
Hardware: Nokia X2 uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor backed by Adreno 301 GPU. This dual core unit works at a clock speed of 1.2GHz. Micromax uses MediaTek MT6582 processor which delivers similar performance by working at 1.3GHz rate. Both the mobile phones are fitted with 1GB of RAM and come with 4GB of internal storage. In both the phones memory can be extended by through external SD card and they support SD cards up to 32 GB.
Software: Nokia X2 uses customized interface i.e. Nokia X 2.0 UI in this mobile phone and it is based on Android jellybean. Micromax on the other hand uses Android Kit Kat which is the latest version and the users can even update their phones to android Lollipop after its release.
Camera: Rear camera of two phones has similar specifications i.e. 5MP camera which supports images of 2592 х 1944 pixels and 720p recording. X2 is fitted with VGA camera in front whereas A1 has 2MP camera on its front side. Both the mobile phones are fitted with LED flash to capture clear pictures through rear camera.
Battery: Nokia mobile phones are known for their battery life from long back and to continue its reputation Nokia equipped 1800mAh battery in X2 where as Micromax Canvas A1 is available with 1700mAh battery. Batteries from both the phones can be removed and one can even replace those batteries with high capacity batteries if needed. Nokia claims 552 hours of standby time and talk time of 10 hours on 2G where as Micromax claims 160hours of standby and 6 hours of continuous talk time.
Both the mobile phones i.e. Micromax A1 and Nokia X2 have the capability to accommodate two SIMs. Two mobile phones are fitted with 3.5 mm jack to accommodate headphones. These mobile phones are ideal for those who want to maintain separate mobile numbers for family and official purposes.
