Google recently made an update to its Nexus series with Nexus 6 (which is a product of collaboration between Google and Motorola) and is considered as the premium mobile phone due to its specifications and price. HTC one Max which was released a year back is still giving competition to several new smart phones that are coming into market. Though HTC is preparing for release of next phone in the HTC One series, One Max is still favourite for many. Let’s compare the two phones HTC One Max and Motorola Nexus 6.
Design: The dimensions of HTC One Max are 164.5 x 82.5 x 10.3 mm whereas Nexus 6 comes in dimensions 159.3 x 83 x 10.1. Designing speakers on the front side HTC and Motorola’s design is far better than other smart phones. Though both the phones use plastic back covers, they are able to provide the premium feel because of their gigantic size. One Max (217g) weighs a bit more when compared to Nexus 6 (184g).
Display: With 5.9 inch screen and Super LCD3 display HTC One max has a resolution of 1080*1920 pixels (373 ppi) whereas Nexus 6 uses Super AMOLED screen of 5.96 size which has a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels (493 ppi). Both the mobile phones use touch screen and can easily display 16M colours.
Hardware: HTC One Max uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 with Adreno 320 GPU where as Google Nexus 6 uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 with Adreno 420 GPU which is much more advanced. One Max is available with 2GB RAM whereas Nexus 6 is fitted with 3GB RAM. The first one comes with 32GB of internal storage and the later is equipped with double to it.
Software: Both the mobile phones use Android OS with customized user interface. The nexus 6 uses latest Android Lollipop OS where as the Max One comes with Android Jeally bean OS and one can easily update it to Lollipop.
Camera: HTC One Max is fitted with 4 Ultra Pixel camera on its rear and in the front side it has 2.1MP camera. Nexus 6 is equipped with 13MP camera on its rear side and 2MP camera on the opposite side. Options and picture quality is almost same in both the phones but the advantage Nexus 6 has is 4k video recording when compared to One Max’s 2K recoding.
Battery: HTC claims 28 hours of continuous talk time on 2G which is our hours more than its competitor. Even in standby mode also HTC claims 16.8 days which is almost three days higher than Nexus 6. Thanks to its mammoth 3300mah battery which is greater than Nexus 6’s 3220mAh battery.
Specialities: HTC One features a finger print sensor and to counter that that Nexus 6 is water resistant. Price and Final verdict: The price of HTC One Max in Amazon is $479.99 whereas its counterpart comes with a price tag of $649. Both these phones are good in every aspect it is the user who has to decide based on his/her requirements.
