The Lenovo Yoga 3 is the successor to the Yoga 2 device and offers some wonderful features which make the hybrid laptop cum desktop extremely appealing to users. The design of the Yoga 3 has been inspired from wristwatches and features a neat 360 degree hinge.

The Yoga 3 is considerably lighter than the Yoga 2. When closed, the Yoga 3 measures 12.8 mm in thickness and weighs 1.2 kilograms. The device is powered by an Intel processor, the Core M, specially designed for use in tablets, laptops and hybrids of the two. Processing speed is far superior to predecessors and the device also requires no internal fans. The Yoga 3 features 256 GB of internal SD storage and also contains no moving components.

The Yoga 3 features a 13 inch display capable of high definition. The resolution supported is up to 3200 by 1800 pixels and features an LCD screen. This proves to be far better than other hybrids and tablets, but still falls short of many premium laptops, which offer 4K display.

The Yoga 3 Pro features a thermal design which greatly helps in the reduction of consumption of battery life. The device uses up just 4.5 watts of power and also produces much lesser heat than its predecessor. Considering standard use of the device, the battery lasts for up to 12 and half hours. When used heavily, the battery lasts for a good 7 and half hours and this proves to be great as the device can easily sustain one workday without the need to be charged.

The Yoga 3 Pro features a dual core processor running at 1.1 GHz. The device is capable of boosting the speed to up to 2.6 GHz depending on the thermal limitations. The Yoga 3 also features 8 GB of RAM and easily takes up the daily tasks of word processing and web browsing. However, the device features an integrated Intel GPU, which is not too suitable for gaming purposes. Even at lower frame rates, gaming on the device was very difficult and the Yoga 3 is not suitable for playing modern games, even at low frame rates.

The quality of images displayed is pretty good. The accuracy of the colors is average to good, with the green and red colors appearing slightly less saturated. However, the colors are striking and vibrant and the device features a good peak brightness level.

The Yoga Pro 3 comes bundled with the Windows 8.1 OS and features three USB ports, a headphones jack, volume buttons and an external memory card slot. The device also features Bluetooth.

The Yoga Pro 3 is expected to be available in the middle of November this year. The device is expected to retail at introductory prices of $1349 in the US and 1299 euros in Europe. Prices and dates for other regions have not been disclosed as of yet.

All in all, the Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro seems to a good device, but it lacks the power when it comes to playing modern games. The price of the device also seems to be on the higher side for the features provided.
