Sizes and Displays

While all supporting their graphics with a Mali-T628 MP6. The Galaxy S5 performs better because it provides two internal storage variants, 16 and 32GB. While additionally you have the option of expandable memory up to 128GB. You are limited to only 32GB for the one variant of internal storage with the Galaxy Alpha. However, they each have 2GB of RAM.

The devices run on the Android KitKat versions. With the Galaxy S5 running on v4.4.2 and the Galaxy Alpha running on v4.4.4.

Camera

The 16MP back camera of the Galaxy S5 is a superior, with features that include face detection, phase detection, and LED flash, it provides recording of 5312 x 2988 pixels. Along with a 1.12 pixel size, 1/2.6 inch sensor size, and other features. The Galaxy Alpha provides a 12MP camera that has autofocus, LED flash, and other useful features. Both have a 2.1 MP front shooter, so they are equal in that regard.

Battery

The Galaxy Alpha being the slimmer phone provides an 1860mAH battery, while the larger Galaxy S5 has a bigger 2800mAH unit that provides almost a full day of talk time.

Price

On the Indian Market you are able to purchase a Galaxy S5 for $505 while you can get te Galaxy Alpha for $525.
