The new iPhone 6 Plus provided a move to much larger screen at 5.5 inches for Apple. The iPhone 6 Plush provided Apple with their largest display for their iPhone line. They have dipped their toes into the phablet market to compete with giants such as Galaxy Note and the Google Nexus. The Nexus 7 however features a large 7 inch display that has ruled until now. The release of the Xperia X2 Tablet took advantage of the great buzz from the Xperia Z2.
Screen
With the launch of Samsung large tablets, the phablet market has become increasingly popular. The Xperia Z2 Tablet was Sony’s venture into the market as well with a 10. 1 inch screen. However, tablets have yet to provide 4K displays or QHD, considering the amount of resolution that can be stretched across such large screen. Due to this the Xperia Z2 Tablet only provides a resolution of 1200 x 19280 pixels, and a low 250 ppi pixel density. The iPhone 6 Plus provides a display with Full HD and a 400 ppi pixel density.
Unique Features
In terms of design, the Xperia Z2 Tablet is the winner. Even with its large display, it is only 6.4 mm making it slimmer than the iPhone 6 Plus. It is also resistant to water and dust similar to the Xperia Z smartphones. Apple iPhone 6 Plus, on the other hand, measures 7.1 mm thicker and is not water or dust resistant. It does provide TouchID; that is a fingerprint sensor integrated with the home button.
Storage
The Xperia Z2 Tablet provides only 16GB of internal memory and can only provide expandable memory if rooted. WHile the iPhone 6 Plush provides many variants, in which you can get up to 128GB of internal memory, with no option of expandable memory.
Hardware and OS
The Xperia Z2 Tablet runs on the Snapdragon 801 processor but still is powerful. The iPhone 6 Plus runs on a dual-core processor from Apple; that has speeds of 1.4GHz.
For the price, the Xperia Z2 Tablet unlocked is priced at $450. This is compared to the iPhone 6 Plus prices that can cost between $600 to $1150 for the unlocked 128GB versions.
