Publisher Square Enix has revealed new details on an upcoming Skull Face action figure that will be released from their Play Arts Kai range.

Hidemi Matsuzuka, director of Square Enix’s Play Arts Kai, posted images last week of the Skull Face and Venom Snake figures that are based off the designs from Hideo Kojima’s open-world stealth title Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.

Although no details were revealed at the time as to how much the Skull Face figure would be, Square Enix has now updated their official online store with a release date and a price for the product.

Skull Face will be retailing at ¥10,090 (approximately $75/£55) and a release date of February 21st, 2015 is confirmed — the same month that The Phantom Pain has been rumoured to launch in.

Additional details on the figure were also listed:

— About W110mm × D65mm × H270mm Weight: 340g.

— PVC painted completed product action figure.

— A stand, weapon, hat, replacement head and a set of extra hands included.

A Japanese manufacturer, the Max Factory, is also preparing to release a figma Solid Snake action figure (based on the Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty character design), and the company recently revealed the challenges faced on the development of the product and the opportunity to work with Yoji Shinkawa, the lead artist on Hideo Kojima’s Metal Gear Solid franchise.
