The creative director of Far Cry 4 reveals that players still have to find Far Cry 4’s “super secret alternative ending”

Far Cry 4 super secret alternative ending

Can you wipe the smile of Pagan Min face and find the super secret alternative ending?

Back in November 14th Erwin Murillo reported that Far Cry 4 has a secret ending that allows the game to be beaten in under 15 minutes. Well as it turns out there’s actually another “super secret alternative ending” that according to the creative director of Far Cry 4 Alex Hutchinson on Twitter “requires you to make a snap decision and creates a whole new mini-location…

This comment was made in response to GameSpot finding the first secret ending before the games release, and then 10 days later in response to Twitter users @MitchyD and  @adrianchm Hutchinson cryptically added that “No but you’re close… Big change as yet undiscovered is right at the end…“.

On top of that he later stated that “There is the already identified branch after that scene…“. This could mean that players may need to do something during the secret ending if they want to unlock an even more secret ending.

Hutchinson’s final tweet on the matter revealed that there is apparently another secret branching moment in the prologue as well in his words “The other is at the end“.

For players who don’t know yet the first secret ending of Far Cry 4 is unlocked by staying in the room that the main villain Pagan Min placed him in for around 13 minutes and “enjoy the crab rangoon”. If the player does this then Min will return to the room and takes Ajay to the place where he wanted to place his mothers urn of ashes. After giving Ajay a history lesson about his mother in Kyrat, Min directs him to a building where Ajay can place the ashes next to those of another dead relative.

Upon exiting Pagan Min says something like “Oh good! You feel better now? Get it out of your system? Maybe now, we can shoot some goddamn guns,” as The Clash’s “Should I Stay or Should I Go’s” introductory riff plays in the background. They both enter the helicopter and then the game ends.

Recently the Creative Director of Far Cry 4 Alex Hutchinson revealed that along with the known (not so) secret ending that was revealed before the game even came out, Far Cry 4 also has another “super secret alternative ending” that still hasn’t been found yet.

So  what’s your opinion on this “super secret alternative ending”? Have you found anything interesting in the Prologue of the game?
