Coming right on time for Thanksgiving, the story of Defiance continues as Trion World’s releases their new free content update “Aftermath,” which follows up right after the game’s Season 2 TV finale on Syfy. ‘Aftermath’ is the game’s largest expansion since summer and has players traveling from Silicon Valley to Paradise as the world falls into a war between the Earth Republic and Votanis Collective.
Probably one of the biggest changes is a new option to reduce the rating of a weapon in the Salvage Matrix, which will allow players with a large EGO rating gap between them to be able to share items more effectively. The mission content includes new enemies, pursuits, contracts, and events, along with updates to the Season 2 co-op and multiplayer experience.

The update will also include a special “New Frontier Harvest” Thanksgiving event that will have you face a barrage of Biomen as new weapon called “The Gobbler.” The event will also feature a new synergy, the new Plate Slicer, unique weapons, mods, and Cornucopia Supply Crates. Players feeling a bit “festive” can don the new unique headgear: The Buckled Capotain. The event is scheduled to run from November 26 to December 10.
