Over 50 Minutes Of Halo 5 Multiplayer Beta Gameplay From Ready Up Live

by GH Staff

The channel Ready Up Live recently uploaded a video containing nearly 1 hour of Halo 5: Guardians multiplayer beta gameplay. The gameplay features several matches across 2 different modes: traditional team Slayer and the all new elimination-based ‘Breakout’ mode. You’ll get to see several returning weapons such as the Battle Rifle, Assault Rifle and Pistol, all updated to a new look within Halo 5. The player in the matches utilizes all the new mechanics, including the booster movement, ground pound, smart scope and so on. There are 3 different maps within the gameplay, 2 of which are reserved for Slayer, with the Crossfire map being the stage for the Breakout mode. Take a look at the exciting new gameplay below.

As even the commentator of the video notes at the end, the button layout and accompanying mechanics of Halo 5 are definitely reminiscent of modern shooters like Call of Duty. Many comparisons can also be drawn to Advanced Warfare in terms of how spartans in Halo 5 can boost dodge and ground slam just like with the Exo suit movements of Advanced Warfare. However, at its core this game is still Halo and features such as the smart scope or ground pound aren’t necessarily needed to compete, but they are interesting additions to an evolving series.

Players will get their hands on the Halo 5: Guardians multiplayer beta when it launches on December 29 2014 and it will run for 2 weeks. To gain access to this beta, you must purchase Halo: The Master Chief Collection which is out now for Xbox One. Halo 5: Guardians will launch sometime in late 2015.
