Kmart has followed Targets lead in pulling Grand Theft Auto 5 off their selves in Australia
Kmart has just become the second retailer to take Grand Theft Auto 5 off their selves following the now 45,000 strong petition on change.org that convinced Target Australia to stop selling the game.
The news was broken by Kotaku who received the following statement from an official of Kmart over the phone: “Following a significant review of all content in Grand Theft Auto Games Kmart has taken the decision to remove this product immediately,” read a statement. ”Kmart apologises for not being closer to the content of this game“.
Kmarts decision to take Grand Theft Auto 5 off their selves follows Targets announcement that they wouldn’t be stocking GTA5 on December 3rd. As Kotaku pointed out in their article though, both Kmart and Target are both owned by the retail group Wesfarmer.
