Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End

Developer Naughty Dog’s highly anticipated Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End opened the PlayStation Experience keynote with an exclusive sneak peek at gameplay for the first time.

The fourth installment in the critically acclaimed franchise showcased more than 15 minutes of footage and demonstrated the innovation and the steady development being made on Sony’s renowned first-party franchise.

Shooting, combat and the climbing mechanics have been significantly improved since 2011’s Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, while the title is boasting some impressive visuals through its attention to detail in the environment and character designs.

During the gameplay footage, Uncharted 4 suffered from a minor hiccup in the form of protagonist Nathan Drake falling through the map when he died — it’s nothing to seriously worry about, though.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End co-director Bruce Straley appeared on the stage when the footage ended, although he didn’t actually say anything and his co-director on the title, Neil Druckmann, wasn’t anywhere to be seen.

Check out the action-packed footage from Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End below.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is scheduled for release in 2015 exclusively for PlayStation 4.
