Borderlands Online Announced for China

by GH Staff

It has been announced that Borderlands Online, an MMORPG, will be released exclusively in China.

The MMORPG is being developed by 2K China and will be released at some point in 2015. The title is planned to release on PC and mobile devices, and a beta sign up is already available on the official website for the game.

The game is fully online and is set to focus less on a single player experience and more on traditional MMORPG ideas. The game will also feature new character classes and brand new locations from the Borderlands universe to explore.

While Borderlands Online is currently set only for China, other territories have seen two entries in the Borderlands series released this year.

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel! was released back in October for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and various computer markets, while Tales from the Borderlands Episode 1 was released recently by Telltale Games for various home consoles and computer formats.

Time will only tell if Borderlands Online will be released outside of China, but for now Chinese gamers will be able to pick up the MMORPG at some point in 2015.
