Comparison Review Nokia X2 and Nokia Lumia 535

Nokia is slowly trying to reclaim its place in the smartphone market by releasing some decent devices. Despite most of these devices running on windows phone operating system, the company also released the Nokia X series to compete with android smartphones. Below is a detailed comparison of Nokia X2 and Lumia 535.

Design
The X2 measures 4.79 x 2.69 x 0.44 inches and weighs just 150 grams. On the other hand, Nokia Lumia 535 is 5.52 x 2.85 x 0.35 inches with a net weight of 146 grams.

Display
Both devices have large displays with the Lumia 535 sporting a 5 inch 540 x 960 pixels screen. This screen has a pixel density of 220 ppi, 7 more than that of the X2’s 4.3 inch screen. Both screens use the IPS LCD technology and boast of features such as multi-touch and proximity sensors.

Camera
The two smartphones sport 5 MP rear cameras with LED flashes. Although they appear similar, X2 can take 720p videos while Lumia 535 can only manage 480p. This is because it has a better focal length at 30.1 mm compared to Lumia 535’s 28 mm. Unlike Nokia X2’s 0.3 MP front facing camera, the Lumia has a 5 MP front facing camera too. The two front cameras support video calling.

Hardware and Operating System
These smartphones run on Qualcomm chips. However, X2 has a dual core processor while Lumia 535 sports a quad-core one. Both processors are clocked at 1200 MHz. Despite having different processing power, they both have 1 GB RAM. In terms of operating system, Lumia 535 is shipped with Windows Phone 8.1, the latest mobile based operating system from Microsoft. On the other hand, Nokia X2 runs on android 4.3, jellybean, but with a Nokia X platform user interface.

Battery
There is only a 105 mAh difference between their batteries with the larger one being that of the Lumia at 1905 mAh. Both smartphones have a standby time of 23 days with a 13-hour talk time.

Conclusion
At a cost of about 173$, buying Nokia Lumia 535 is money well spent. Given that it also features a 5 inch screen, you will be able to play all your games and read books comfortably on this device.
