Developer Quantic Dream has announced that “great news” will be coming from the studio in January 2015.
Quantic Dream posted the message on their official Facebook page, and rumours are speculating that the developers are hinting at a definitive edition/remaster of their 2013 PlayStation 3-exclusive IP, Beyond: Two Souls.
Earlier this year, a trophy list for the PlayStation 4 version of Beyond: Two Souls was leaked online (via NeoGAF), with most of the trophies being similar to its PS3 counterpart.
“Some great news coming in January,” Quantic Dream wrote.
The development team at the French-based studio is currently working on a brand-new PlayStation 4-exclusive IP, with David Cage, founder and CEO of Quantic Dream, teasing last month that they are “working on something very exciting.”
Starring Hollywood duo Ellen Page and Willem Dafoe, Beyond: Two Souls told the story of Jodie Holmes’ life and the connection she shared with an entity by the name of Aiden.
The title, which was met with a mixed reception by critics, was also at the forefront of a massive controversy last year, as nude images of main protagonist Jodie Holmes, who was motion captured by Ellen Page, were leaked online.
