To answer the question, did Markus “Notch” Persson really make a lot of money off the sale of Mojang to Microsoft? Yes, yes he did. Notch with his newly made money just set a new record in Beverly Hills. He now holds the record for buying the most expensive house in Beverly Hills with his purchase of a house for around 70 million dollars. Reports have said that Notch outbid Jay-Z and Beyonce for the house. Those are two very to successful and rich people.
The deal includes “luxury furnishings” and cases of Dom Perignon included with the house. A noted feature of the home is a 54-foot glass door that opens into an infinity pool that has iPad-controlled fountains and a view that spans from downtown Los Angeles to the Pacific Ocean.
Markus Persson owned 70 percent of the Swedish company Mojang that was sold for 2.5 billion to Microsoft. Persson reported to have made around 1.75 billion in the deal.
“Notch” tweeted a picture of himself in the home.
(Not showing off or anything of course)
