Video Tip on Downloading Halo 5: Guardians Multiplayer Beta

by GH Staff

For two weeks, Halo 5: Guardians’ Multiplayer Beta will officially start on Dec. 29th and run through Jan. 18th. In order to prepare ahead of time, interested players should go ahead and start downloading the 10GB file as of now. From the Halo: The Master Chief Collection’s home page, select Extras. Next, click the Halo 5: Guardians Multiplayer Beta to commence the download. If the option is still bit grayish, then followup at a different time. The update is currently being distributed right now. If these simple instructions somehow doesn’t work, checkout this video that provides a better explanation and visual presentation.

As a quick followup, the gameplay should feature several matches across two different modes: traditional team Slayer and the all new elimination-based ‘Breakout’ mode. Several weapons will return again, such as the Battle Rifle, Assault Rifle and Pistol. During the match, the player can utilize all the new mechanics, including the booster movement, ground pound, smart scope and so on. However, there are only three different maps with two that are reserved for Slayer and a Crossfire map being the stage for the Breakout mode.

As a final reminder, 343 Industries’ Halo 5: Guardians has not confirmed an official release date, but this first-person shooter will arrive on the XBox One in late 2015.
