Everyone’s favorite, or at least my favorite, laser-shooting earthworm might be getting a remake. Might.
Nothing official has been said on the matter. All we have to go by is an imagine created by freelance concept artist, Soren Zaragoza. For all we know the model was created by Zaragoza for fun, and not for a particular company.
However, with the recent trend of companies releasing remake after remake, the thought of them making an Earthworm Jim remake isn’t too far-fetched. Especially for a game as classic as Earthworm Jim.
What might cause some worry for many fans of the series is the fact that the image is of a 3 dimensional Earthworm Jim, and as many fans will remember, that did not work too well in the past.
The reason I say this is because the suitably titled, Earthworm Jim 3D, is commonly regarded as being the worst installment of the series. Many criticized the game as lacking all the charm of the previous two, and whether this charm is associated with the fact that the original two were 2D platform games is up to you guys.
