Dragon Age: Inquisition Fan Uncovers Huge Secret

by GH Staff

Dragon Age: Inquisition has been immensely popular after its launch across gaming platforms. This is in part due to its deep canon which involves various races, religions and kingdoms. What fans know about the world of Dragon Age could all change, however, after the detective work of one intrepid fan.

Reddit user sashimi_taco,  also known as Geek Remix on Youtube, has created a video that uncovers a major plot point for Bioware’s epic role playing game that will change what fans have come to understand about the series’ lore . Warning: Spoilers Ahead!

During the scene in the temple of Mythal, the player is offered a choice. During this decision, indecipherable whispers can be heard echoing in the background. After reversing these whispers, it has been discovered that this dialogue actually contains hints to a huge revelation about religion in the Dragon Age universe.

The lines of dialogue found include:

“Go to him, Dirth…”

“Mythal speaks the calling…”

“Halt… Blind…” or “The call is sweet, from the blood…”

“He is bound to the same…”

“Travel far…”

“Don’t speak…”

“She speaks the truth…”

“She’s fallen, lost…” or “She saw the lost…”

The most important piece of information found within the hidden whispers stems from the line “Mythal speaks the calling…”. Mythal is an eleven God. However, the calling is a song sung by the Archdemons to call darkspawn to their side and is usually associated with The Old Gods. This is means that there is a previously unknown overlap between the beliefs of the Tevinter Imperium, who worship The Old Gods and the Dawlish Elves, who worship Elgar’nan the All-Father and Mythal the Protector. This could have untold consequences for the world of Dragon Age, and may be explored further in DLC, should Bioware decide to expand on the single player narrative.
