Dying Light is now available for pre order and pre install over on Xbox One consoles. You can purchase the game on Xbox.com right now.
The two digital versions of the game available to customers are the Standard Edition, £54.99, or the Ultimate Edition which comes bundled with the game’s Season Pass for £69.99.
Those who pre order the game will be given access to the ‘Be a Zombie’ mode, which will allow you to take the side of the Zombies as they hunt down the survivors. In a neat twist, those with access to the mode will be able to invade other player’s games and ”add even more terror to their quest for survival”. You will also be rewarded with the Troublemaker outfit for your character in game.
In other Dying Light related news, Ampisound, the company behind this amazing Mirror’s Edge POV video, have created a similar video for Dying Light which you can see below. The video provides us with a first hand look at what it is like to be one of the parkour survivors in the game, as our hero escapes the undead across the rooftops of an abandoned city.
Dying Light is the latest game from Dead Island creators Techland, and had it’s Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions cancelled due to ”thorough internal testing” that deemed last-gen’s tech unable to handle the game.
It will be released for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC January 27th in the US, January 28th in Austrailia and Asia, and January 30th in Europe.
