HP has taken great steps in upping its game on the Notebook market. The HP Envy 15 seems to be a beautifully crafted notebook with some quality hardware hidden inside, aiming for the top end of the market. It’s not cheap though, and it might not suite everyone’s needs. Can the HP Envy 15 justify its price-tag through looks alone, or is there more hidden under the skin?

Design

The design of the HP Envy 15 is nothing short of visually appealing. Differing from its predecessor, the laptop is not only fit for the business lifestyle, but for casual users as well, as its innovative design is a mix of style and creativity. Witch dimensions of 15 x 9.5 x 1.1 inches, the smart device is pretty thin, but is a bit heavy with a weight of about 2.59 kilograms.

Specifications

The HP Envy 15 is a great competitor to other notebooks released on the market today in the same price range as it features a powerful 64 bit quad-core second generation Intel Core i7 running at 2.2GHz and max turbo speed at 3.1 GHz. With 8 GB of DDR3 SDRam and AMD Radeon HD 7690M with as much as 1GB of GDDR5 SDRAM as well as beats audio the tablet provides with an amazing multimedia experience and lets you enjoy even some of the latest PC games that are released today in a playable framerate. Moreover its 500GB hard drive is enough for any multimedia library and document storage.

Display

Coming in two versions, the base model of the HP Envy 15 features a 1,366 x 768 pixels 15.6 inch display. However, for just 150$ more you are able to gt the Full HD 1920 x 1080 pixels version, which is a must have, as its true to life vivid colors are beautiful. Even though as most notebooks the device is not as great when used outdoors, its brightness and contrast levels are good enough.

Battery Life

The HP Envy 15 has a pretty decent battery life as well. The notebook is able to withstand for about 4 hours of video playback and as much as 5 hours of continuous web surfing, which is great for a laptop in its price range.

Overall

Even though it has been on the market for about 2 years now, the HP Envy 15 is a decent notebook that is able to compare with other notebooks that are currently being released in the same price range. With amazing sound provided by the Beats speakers featured on the smart device, beautiful vivid picture provided by its 15.6 inch display, the multimedia experience is more than satisfactory. Moreover, its specifications that let you run even some of the latest games make definitely make it worth its price tag.
